Staff members will be given the opportunity to complete their individual Professional Development plans instead of attending the traditional monthly staff meetings and the school- based Professional Development sessions. For example, instead of the traditional ten monthly after- school staff meetings, there will be only two. The remaining eight hours may be used to implement individual plans.
Each faculty member is expected to earn ten credits from course offerings during the 2015-16 school year. Credits may be earned during scheduled school professional days or traditionally planned after-school staff meetings or other independently determined times. Staff members will complete their professional plans and share with their designated administrator. Each staff member is asked to choose at least one study area that supports county priorities (i.e. UDL and or equity) and a minimum of one technology credit.
